$50 a console, everything included โ€” games loaded before you collect it โ€” with drop-off and nearby meet-ups costing nothing on top. The only extras are delivery further out and a storage card if you need one. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press the button at the end.

1 ยท About your console

On the console: Settings โ†’ System โ†’ System Information. Don't know? Leave it โ€” we'll check.

10% off two, 15% off three or more.

2 ยท Optional extras

Both optional. The emulator suite costs nothing โ€” tick it and we'll set it up. Already have an SD2Vita and a microSD? Bring them and we'll configure them at no extra charge; that's part of the $50 either way.

3 ยท Getting it to us

We're in East Palo Alto. Dropping it off, or meeting in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City or Mountain View, adds nothing to the $50. Further out in the Bay Area, or mail-in, is $15 once per order โ€” not per console.

What happens next

  1. We reply to confirm

Usually the same working day, with a drop-off time or a shipping address. If anything in your description changes the price, we say so up front rather than at the end.

  2. You drop it off, or mail it in

Local drop-offs in East Palo Alto get arranged by email โ€” bring the charger, any memory card you want data from, and your SD2Vita if you already have one. Mailing it in? Pack it well; the screen is the expensive part.

  3. A check before work starts

We look at the firmware, the storage and anything already installed. If we find a condition that makes a firmware operation risky โ€” a battery that won't hold charge, signs of a previous failed mod โ€” we stop and tell you. You can always have it back untouched.

  4. Work, test, hand back

Paid on completion โ€” in person for local jobs, or before it ships back.
